The 4th World Top Scientists Forum will continue to be held in the Lingang New Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone. At the world's top scientists' new drug research and development forum held on the 2nd, the 2013 Nobel Prize winner in chemistry, Ariel Wascher, said that computer technology plays a very critical role in dealing with the COVID-19 and the pharmaceutical industry.
Aliye Vasher stated that the enormous computing power possessed by all humanity today can solve many previously unsolvable problems. Taking COVID-19 as an example, Wascher and his research team predicted the possibility of mutation of COVID-19 through computational research methods in June last year, and carried out relevant research before the real mutation occurred. At the same time, computers can also be used to calculate the "drug binding affinity" for the research and development of COVID-19 drugs and many other drugs.
