Fran \u00e7 ois Fillon was born on March 4, 1954 in the western city of Le Mans, France. He is a member of the ruling People's Movement Alliance and holds a doctoral degree in public law and political science. In 1981, he was first elected as a member of the National Assembly and was the youngest member of parliament at the time. He has since been re elected multiple times. In March 1993, Fillon first entered the French government and served as the Minister of Higher Education and Research within the government. In May 1995, he served as the Minister of Information Technology and Posts and Telecommunications. From November 1995 to June 1997, he served as the ministerial representative responsible for postal, telecommunications, and space issues at the Ministry of Industry, Postal, and Telecommunications. In May 2002, Fillon joined the Lafarlane government as Minister of Social Affairs, Labour, and Mutual Aid. As soon as he took office, he embarked on the reform of the French pension system. Due to the significant reform efforts, the reform he implemented is known as the Fillon Reform. From March 2004 to June 2005, Fei Yong served as the Minister of National Education, Higher Education, and Research. During his tenure, he made some reforms to the French education system.
