Early in his career, Earl was the Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Finance of T\u00fcrkiye, responsible for foreign exchange, banking supervision, the World Bank and other research departments. In 1987, he was appointed Director General of the Ministry of Finance of T\u00fcrkiye in charge of international economic development. Earl also held multiple executive positions, including the CEO of a commercial bank in Istanbul until 1995 and a board member of multiple public banks. In 1996, he was appointed Governor of the Central Bank of T\u00fcrkiye for a term of five years. He founded Earl Global Consulting Co., Ltd. to provide advice to governments, financial institutions, non-governmental organizations and special clients on the international financial architecture, supply, development and future of T\u00fcrkiye's economic and political system. In 2000, Ersler won the Euromoney Magazine Central Bank Person of the Year award; In 1999 and 2000, he was named the top central bank governor by Global Finance Magazine. He is also a regular columnist of HaberTurk, a T\u00fcrkiye news newspaper, and the host of Bloomberg Business Economics Program. Earl teaches courses in international financial markets, banking, macroeconomics, and public governance at different universities. He graduated from the Department of Political Science of Ankara University, T\u00fcrkiye, with a bachelor's degree, and obtained a master's degree in international economics from Vanderbilt University in the United States.
