Dr. Bimozaran is a former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. He has held multiple positions in the government, including the Minister of Finance and the Chairman of the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Committee. From 2003 to 2009, he was also nominated as a member of parliament. He served as the Chairman of the Expenditure Management Committee in 2014-16. He also represented India on the boards of directors of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Bimozaran is associated with some academic and public institutions, including the Kolkata Institute of Statistics in India; Delhi Institute for Economic Growth; Development Research Center; Chairman of the National Committee for Applied Economics and Research in New Delhi.
