Nobuyuki Idei is the former chairman of SONY and group CEO from 2000 to 2005. He currently serves on the boards of Baidu, FreeBit and Lenovo, and retired from the board of Accenture in 2015. Nobuyuki Idei is the founder and CEO of Quantum Leap, a consulting firm founded in 2006 that specializes in advising private and public institutions on the changing role of technology in the 21st century. He has served on the boards of General Motors, Yoshimoto Kogyo, and Nestle, and has held advisory positions in various organizations, such as advisor to the Bank of Japan, member of the National IT Strategy Council of Japan, and Vice chairman of the Japan Keidanren. In 1998, he was awarded the Officier by the French president. ordre national de la Legion d#39; honneur was named the 1997 Asian Person of the Year by Fortune magazine. Mr. Idei holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economic and Political Science from Waseda University.
