Padrigg McManus is the current chairman of Irish Telecom and served as the CEO of Ireland's largest energy company, ESB, for 10 years. In 2010, Padrigue completed the acquisition of NIE Network Company from Arcapita Bank in Bahrain for over \u00a3 1 billion and personally resolved many of the financial, political, and major shareholder issues encountered by the ESB Group in the merger process. In 2008, Padriguez sold a batch of ABB Group's power generation investment securities to Spain's Entesa National Power Company, solving the problems of unions and regulatory boards in an innovative way, reducing monopolies, and allowing competitors to enter the market. In 2003, he led the first private equity financing proposal in the United States on behalf of the ESB Group, with a financing amount of 1.1 billion euros. Padrigue once resold the retail and wholesale business of electrical equipment from the ESB Group to Bank of Ireland, Scotland. He has served as a personnel manager at the ESB company and participated in every important restructuring project, ensuring that the company's core personnel are controlled below 6000. He is also responsible for projects of the ESB company in Ghana, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Padrigue also serves as a member of the Council of the Irish School of Management and a director of the UK Community Enterprise Alliance. He has also served as a director of many other institutions, including the Irish School of Economic and Social Studies, the United States Conference Committee, and others. Padrigue is passionate about charitable education, leading volunteer organizations to rebuild multiple primary and secondary schools in Ghana that can accommodate 6000 students.
