Since January 2011, Patrick Woenkin has been serving as the regional director of Google's Swiss office. He studied market economics at the University of Salle in Germany and holds MBA degrees from Steinbeck University in Berlin, Milan Bocconi University, and Stern University in New York. Before joining Google, he initially worked as a product manager in the digital television department of KirchGroup, and later served as the sales director of SevenOne. He has also held several other positions, including sales supervisor and business director. Patrick Woenkin's career at Google began in 2007 when he served as the industry leader for the German region of Google, mainly responsible for managing industry affairs in local, media, entertainment, and public sectors. He and his team have a development focus on helping customers. When holding this position of Operations Officer, he was responsible for managing the largest Google Research Center outside of the United States. Google products such as Google advertising, search engines, YouTube, Google email, and calendars have been widely used in the main core areas of Zurich.
