Gopalakrishnan is a director of Tata Limited, Chairman of Tata Automotive Parts Systems, Chairman of Laris India, Vice Chairman of Tata Chemical Company, and has served in companies such as Tata Power, Tata Technology, Akzo Nobel India, and BP Castrol India. Since 1967, Mr. Gopalakrishnan Gopala has been known by his friends as a professional manager at Unilever and Tata Group for 31 and 15 years, respectively. In addition, he also served as the Chairman of Unilever Arab, the Executive Director of Brookbond Lipton in Bangalore, and later served as the Vice Chairman of Stanley Company in India. Gopalakrishnan has now majored in physics at Saint Xavier College in Kolkata, engineering at the East Indian Institute of Technology at Camp, and attended advanced management courses at Harvard Business School. He has given numerous lectures in India and other countries, and has taught LWNT Learning Whats Not Taught courses at business schools. He has published articles in many newspapers and journals, and has written many best-selling books, some of which have been translated into Chinese, Hindi, and Tamil for publication and distribution. His works mainly include the case of a bonsai manager, the sudden realization of learning what is less important, the top boss telling you how to become a core manager, the comma in a sentence, and an additional ordinary story of six generations of ordinary family members.
