Jack Welch can be described as a legendary contemporary management expert, businessman, and best-selling author, whose experience has established him as the most successful and respected business leader. Since he left General Electric, he has been focused on sharing his rich experience and knowledge. He currently serves as the Executive Chairman of the Jack Welch School of Management at Streyer University, responsible for a unique online MBA program and certificate exam training, dedicated to enabling students around the world to transform their lives and organizational forms through the tools they learn at every stage of their career. Jack founded Jack Welch Limited Liability Company, where he continued to serve as a senior advisor for private direct investment company Clayton and provided advisory services to IAC Interactive. In 2005, Jack and his wife were nominated as International Bestseller Authors for Wall Street Journal and won the award. His previous autobiography, Jack Welch's autobiography, Jack: Straight from the gut, has won New York Times bestsellers and international bestsellers. Jack Welch was born in Salem, Massachusetts. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts and then studied at the University of Illinois in the United States, where he obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. Afterwards, he began his career at General Electric in the 1960s and became the eighth Chairman and CEO of General Electric in 1981. He worked as CEO for over 20 years, increasing the company's market capital from $1.3 billion to over $40 billion. In 2000, Jack was named the Century Manager by Forbes magazine. Currently, Jack continues to share his successful experiences with many business professionals and student audiences worldwide.
