Soriajikaka is the founder and executive director of the We the Change Foundation, an organization that motivates people to make changes and become what they want. The foundation is committed to developing and creating a top-notch center that provides education and care for children in marginalized communities in Kenya. Soria was born in Kenya and holds a Bachelor's degree in Modern History from the University of St. Andrew in Scotland. She was a charity law lawyer at Bates Wells Braithwaite and a corporate law lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. She also worked in Geneva, the United Nations High Commission on Human Rights, a AIDS orphanage in Nyumbani Kenya, and Mother Teresa's Home to help the poor in Calcutta, India. Throughout, Soria has been inspired by Nelson Mandela, Oprah Winfrey, Anita Roddick, Mahatma Gandhi, Dan Eden, Mother Theresa, and others. In addition, her family also gave her great encouragement. Her grandfather Jomokenyatta was the first president of Kenya after independence and is considered the founding father of Kenya. Her grandmother became the first Kenyan to receive a parliamentary nomination at the 1958 Legislative Assembly through self-study, and Soiya's name was named after her grandmother. Her favorite motto is to have more courage than others and be safe; Having a finer mind than others can lead to wisdom; Dreams are bigger than others and can be fulfilled; Expecting more than others will come true.
