Hans Dieter Hermann is a renowned sports psychologist who serves as the psychological coach of the German national football team, responsible for addressing the psychological stress of German players during major matches such as the 2014 World Cup. He was selected by former head coach of the German national team, Jurgen Klinsmann, to jointly oversee the preparations for the 2006 World Cup and the 2008 European Championship. Herman referred to his method as optimizing psychology, which can improve the psychological stability of team members and enhance their confidence. Herman studied psychology at the University of Antwerp and the University of Vilzburg. Subsequently, he specialized in sports psychology and worked for various national teams in various sports, including football, gymnastics, and the Austrian skiing team. He collaborates with many corporate executives to motivate teams to improve performance, build teams, and enhance the confidence of team members. He also serves as a lecturer at the Institute of Sports Science and the Elding Institute of Applied Management at the University of Heidelberg. Herman co published the book 'The Game of Leadership' in 2013.
