Jan Olav Willum holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management from the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich from 1966 to 1970 and a PhD in Engineering and Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1970 to 1975. From 1993 to 1998, he served as the co founding director of WBCSD at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development in Geneva. From 1998 to 2000, he served as the Senior Vice President of Storebrand, a well-known Norwegian financial services company, and also served as the Director of Environmental Fund and Corporate Social Responsibility Activities. In 2006, he co founded Think Global AS, an electronic automotive company headquartered in Oslo, Norway. He previously worked at the Automotive Agenda Council of the World Economic Forum from 2008 to 2011 and has served as the chairman and owner of Inspire Invest since 2000. In July 2007, he co founded and served as the chairman of Move About, an online electric vehicle provider primarily targeting companies and municipalities in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Germany. Wilhelms is the co founder and chairman of Zero Emission Mobility, a technology and financial services company focused on understanding how to degrade waste batteries. This helps us recognize residual value, optimize the use of advanced lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles, and activate their secondary life in static applications such as grid stability and solar energy storage. Jan Olav Willum's areas of expertise include entrepreneurship, sustainability, electric vehicles, clean technology, corporate social responsibility, business strategy, sustainable development, entrepreneurship, venture capital, solar energy, renewable energy, batteries, sustainable energy, alternative energy, corporate development, and international relations. His mother tongue is Norwegian, and he is also proficient in English, German, and French. In 1992, he published his book From Ideas to Action.
