Johnny Hewlett is the European CEO of the Italian fashion group Desai. Previously, he was the CEO of Desai China and is currently responsible for overseeing Desai's business, website, and fashion network in Europe. Hewlett focuses on promoting organizational change, integrating different cultures, and drawing on methods proven by other industries to achieve breakthrough results. From fast moving consumer goods company Procter&Gamble to fashion group Desai, Hewlett Packard has accumulated rich experience in leadership, change, and trade consumer management. Hewlett's career began at Procter&Gamble. In 1997, he joined Procter&Gamble's Fine Fragrance department, which was formed by the merger of Eurocos from Germany and Giorgio Beverly Hills from Beverly Hills in the United States. His initial task was to create a global trade market department by merging two companies with significant cultural and geographical differences. Later, he was sent to lead the merger of Jean Patou Parfums, a small French perfume manufacturer. This merger made Lacoste a French crocodile truly a global brand of P&G perfume and helped P&G establish a subsidiary in France. In 2002, he became the director of global market strategy and planning of P&G perfume Department, now renamed P G Prestige Products, and helped establish the leading position of French Crocodile and Hugo Boss in the global market. In 2008, Hewlett, who had worked at Procter&Gamble for 16 years, left Procter&Gamble and joined the Italian fashion group Desai to become the general manager of Desai in the UK and Ireland. Over the past two years, he has faced challenges including reversing the sales and profitability of his UK subsidiary, reforming the wholesale team, strengthening key account management and joint business planning partnerships with major clients, reassessing the UK retail strategy, driving organizational change, and embracing a culture of career development and cross business training. Recommendation: At the John Lewis Senior Leadership Conference, Johnny conducted a profound and forward-looking assessment of the retail industry in the UK. Undoubtedly, he is passionate about big brand strategy. \u2014\u2014John Lewis Purchasing, Men's and Casual Wear Supervisor
