Mikhal Kosinsky is a psychologist and data scientist dedicated to studying humans by studying the data footprints left by people when using digital platforms and devices. He is an assistant professor of organizational behavior at Stanford University School of Business, holding a PhD in psychology from Cambridge University, a Master's degree in psychological testing, and a Master's degree in social psychology. He and more than 200 researchers worldwide jointly participated in and assisted the myPersonality project, analyzing in detail the psychological demographic information of over 8 million Facebook users. He established the open source online adaptation testing platform Concerto and prediction engine ApplyMagicSauce. com at the University of Cambridge. Previously, Kosinsky was the Deputy Director of the Center for Psychological Testing at the University of Cambridge, a researcher at Microsoft Research, and a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Computer Science at Stanford University. Before starting his academic career, he successfully founded ITC startup and served as a brand manager for a major digital brand.
