James closely follows key trends and strategic challenges in current and future business, describing himself as a historian of the future. He often serves as a keynote speaker and host at high-end conferences around the world. He has published some books and special reports on the future of the world. James was the first UK staff member of the Hudson Institute, a futures think tank headquartered in the United States, and held a senior position in the institute's European branch in Paris. He also has over 25 years of experience as a television host and has won numerous awards. He has hosted BBC Television's Money Project for 3 years and later hosted News Nights and Panorama. He subsequently worked for 7 years as an editor on Financial Times Television and Sky News, as well as on themed financial and business programs. James holds a Master's degree in Law and History from Cambridge and a PhD from the London School of Economics. In 2007, he was elected as an academician of the World Innovation Foundation founded by Nobel laureate in economics, Grencio Dosebog. He is a member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts and a director of the Talent Fund.
