Mark is a medical journalist for The Times, a guest doctor for The One Show, and the host of Inside Health for the famous medical series on Radio 4. He is well-known to millions of British audiences and is the most experienced media medical staff in the UK. Since joining the BBC in 1992, he has worked on various media platforms under the company, including serving as a health editor for Radio Times for 10 years and hosting a case notes program on Radio 4 for 8 years. Mark worked in the hospital for 5 years before becoming a general practitioner in 1990. He is currently undergoing a busy surgery in South Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire. He is now 49 years old and lives on an ancient farm in Cotswolds with his wife and two daughters. Mark enjoys hosting award ceremonies in the UK and internationally, as well as arranging meetings. In 2005, Mark was awarded the Order of the British Empire MBE for his significant contributions to medicine.
